POST- CARE INSTRUCTIONS

Immediately – 24 hours:
You may feel like you have a moderate sunburn.

Do

  • Follow the specific products your provider gives/recommends (usually gentle cleanser + soothing/hydrating serum or cream).
  • Keep your hands off your face unless clean.
  • If your skin feels warm, you can use a cool (not ice cold) compress briefly.

Avoid

  • Makeup for at least 24 hours (preferably 24–48 hours).
  • Touching, rubbing, or picking at the skin.
  • Sweating heavily (gym, hot yoga, sauna, hot baths).
  • Direct sun exposure.

24–72 hours:

  • Redness and sensitivity should gradually decrease.
  • Skin may feel tight, dry, or slightly rough/“sandpapery”.

Do

  • Continue very gentle skincare
  • Mild cleanser
  • Hydrating, fragrance-free moisturizer
  • Hyaluronic acid-based serum if recommended
  • SPF 30+ if going outside.

Avoid

  • Retinol/retinoids
  • Acids (AHAs, BHAs, Vitamin C if it stings)
  • Scrubs, cleansing brushes, dermaplaning, or waxing
  • Self-tanner on the area.

3–7 days:

  • Mild flaking or dryness may appear – let it come off naturally.
  • Continue to focus on hydration + SPF.
  • After about a week (or as advised by your provider) and once the skin is calm, you can gradually restart your actives.

ONGOING:

  • Results from microneedling develop over weeks to months, and sun protection is key to maintaining them.
  • Avoid major sun exposure (beach, tanning) while you’re in a treatment series.
