Is 5% retinol too strong for beginners?
Yes, this is a high-strength formula best suited for those already experienced with retinol. If you're new to retinol, start with a gentler formula first and work up to this strength.
Can this help with both wrinkles and acne?
Yes, retinol is formulated to diminish the look of fine lines and wrinkles while also helping with acne and hyperpigmentation.
Can I use this while pregnant or breastfeeding?
Retinoids are generally avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding. Pause this product, let us know, and we'll suggest a pregnancy-friendly alternative. Your doctor or midwife has the final say.
Can I use it with vitamin C or exfoliating acids?
Yes, just not at the same time. Use vitamin C in the morning and this at night, and keep exfoliating acids to different nights until your skin is fully comfortable.
Do I need to stop using it before a treatment?
Yes. Pause it about 2 days before and after facials, waxing and threading. For peels, BioRePeel and microneedling, we'll give you exact timing at your visit.
Is some tingling normal?
Mild tingling that fades within a few minutes can be normal with active ingredients. Burning, swelling or a rash is not. Rinse it off, stop using it, and contact us.
