Will this cause purging when I first start using it?

Mild flaking or sensitivity can occur in the first 1-2 weeks as skin adjusts to the acids. This is why we recommend starting at 1-2 times a week and building up gradually.
Can I use this with other exfoliating acids or retinol?

We don't recommend combining this with additional AHA/BHA products or retinol on the same night, as it can increase irritation. Alternate nights instead.
