Facials

Must Know Details

Pre- and post-care guidance designed to maximize your facial results and keep your skin healthy and balanced.

Pre-Care Instructions

7 Days Before:

  • Avoid any sunbathing and tanning beds to reduce risk of damage

3-5 Days Before:

  • Avoid using any active ingredients such as retinol, tretnoin, acids
  • Avoid any method of exfoliation such as AHA's, BHA's, scrubs
  • We require that you avoid these ingredients for 3-5 days to get the most out of your facial. Your facial is a treatment where we like to include customized professional exfoliation. We will not be able to do this when your skin is sensitized as your skin barrier will be damaged.

48 Hours Before:

  • Avoid any facial waxing
  • Increase water intake, as hydrated skin responds better to treatment

The Day of Appointment:

Come with a clean face or minimal makeup to your appointment.

Post-Care Instructions

  • Protect from Sun: Wear a minimum SPF 30 (preferably SPF 50) sunscreen daily to protect sensitized skin.
  • Wait to Apply Makeup: Avoid makeup for at least 6–8 hours, preferably until the next morning, to let the skin breathe and prevent blocked pores.
  • Keep Skin Hydrated: Use gentle cleansers and serums to soothe the skin.
  • Avoid Heat & Sweat (24–48 hours): Skip saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, and intense exercise, as heat can increase inflammation.
  • Do Not Pick or Exfoliate: Allow your skin to heal naturally, avoiding physical scrubs and exfoliating devices for 3–7 days.
  • Avoid Other Treatments: Refrain from other facial or laser treatments for 2–4 weeks post-facial, or as recommended by your provider.
  • Clean Surfaces: Use clean pillowcases, towels, and phone screens to prevent bacteria transfer.
  • Waxing: Avoid all facial waxing for at least 7 days.

Keep your routine simple and soothing:

  • Gentle cleanser
  • Hydrating/calming serum
  • Moisturizer
  • SPF (daytime)

After 3-5 days:

You can gradually resume your usual routine if the skin feels calm. Re-introduce actives (retinol, acids, etc.) slowly, watching for irritation.
